Once or so in a long while, you are given the opportunity to go out into the world and do something amazing. Today marks the first day of my LINK internship at Flightpath; a digital marketing agency based in the Flatiron District in NYC. As my day began at 10 AM, I was introduced around the design department of the office by Steven, my mentor. I was then given multiple tasks by one of the other designers and we worked in loose tandem to complete these. The first thing I had to do was source and implement photos into a newsletter about having a pet and how to be a good owner for them. After completing this, I was given a large PSD file of a high end golf club and told to make slices of each hole, the practice course, and the clubhouse. Challenging parts of doing this was determining how much space should be left around the edges of the fairway. Upon completion of this, I was given my final task for the day; to find a stock image and change it around so that it could be used as a header image for Flightpath's own blog post (published today) about Social Media Week which ended on the 27th of February.
